The doctrine of repentance is probably the most misunderstood doctrine which relates to coming to faith in Christ.  The primary assertion of this book is that repentance, in Jewish contexts, speaks of the necessity for the Jew to transition away from an occupation with the Law of Moses, to an occupation with the perfect sacrifice of Christ.  The author of Hebrews describes Jewish conversion as laying a foundation of repentance from dead works and faith towards God.  This repentance was not turning from sins; rather, it was a Jewish transitioning away from a now defunct means of addressing sins (the provisional Law of Moses) to the perfect and complete sacrifice of Christ.  This book defends, in Jewish contexts of the New Testament, the above understanding of repentance.

There is a prevailing attitude amongst many believers in grace that goes something like this: “All that matters to me is that at least I am going to heaven when I die”. Such children of God are all too often content to be saved but conformed to this world, never maturing beyond infancy.  The purpose of this book is to demonstrate to the reader that, pressing onto maturity will yield authority to reign with Christ in the age to come and a positive distinction for eternity.

The message of the Gospel is a message of Jesus having once and for all settled the sin debt for the sinner. The saving response to that message is to believe it for one’s self, that is, the rest the eternal destiny of one’s soul in the sufficiency of the work of Christ as that which alone merits an eternal standing before God. Many today seek to do the work of evangelism by eliciting a response other than believing to a message other than the Gospel. The charismatic movement is an abandonment of a biblical truth-based model of sanctification in favor of a personal subjective source of truth. This book examines the errors of the King James only movement. While the author his a high regard for the King James Bible and regularly references it in his pulpit ministry, and while he embraces the superiority of the Byzantine text tradition, he believes that it is incorrect to elevate a translation above the original text from which that translation is derived. The author’s biggest problem with the King James only movement is the division to which it leads in the Body of Christ. Download Below

 The book is a refutation of 5 point Calvinism, demonstrating that Predestination is not unto Salvation but rather Predestination is God's goal for the believer to be transformed into the image of Christ.  Also Election is not unto Salvation but unto service. The Calvinist has created a system of soteriology in which foreknowledge is at the core their system. They make a general assumption concerning the extent to which God knows the ends from the beginning, force that assumption to become a core component of their soteriology and then consider it an attack on the omniscience of God to believe otherwise.
