We believe in the one triune God: the Maker, Preserver, the Ruler of all things -- eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-eternal in being, co-equal in nature, essence, power and glory, each with distinct personhood, but without division of nature, essence, being or communion.
We believe that, even though each member of the God-head is co-equal and eternal in nature, essence, power and glory, they have primary roles or agencies in which they each function.
The primary role or agency of God the Father is He is the decree agent of the God-head (Acts 2:33, I John 2:1).
The primary agency of God the Son is He is that visible person of the God-head in whom the power of God is manifested: The arm of the Lord (Heb. 1:3). He is the primary agent in all of God's creative and redemptive acts.
The primary agency of God the Holy Spirit is He is the curator of the human conscience (I Cor 2:13) (Rev. 1:1, John 16:8, John 16:13, Isa 53:1-2).
Because of the unity which exists in the God-head, these agencies, at times, overlap.
We believe the attribute of holiness is to be considered the fundamental, governing attribute of God (Psa. 89:35) and that all other attributes must be understood in the light of His holiness.
We believe that "all Scripture is given by inspiration of God," by which we understand the whole of the book called the Bible; it is the revelation of God and is known as the Word of God. It is verbally and plenarily inspired and therefore inerrant in the original autographs and thus it is infallible. We believe the canon of Scripture to be the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament
. With the doctrine of inerrancy of the Scripture, we firmly hold to the normal, literal, historical method of interpretation as opposed to the allegorical method. The normal, literal, historical method takes into account customary figures of speech. An example of the normal, literal, historical method: we believe that God, by the word of His power, instantaneously created the heavens and earth out of nothing or without pre-existent materials. We believe in creation, as revealed in Scripture, the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) each performed a distinct work. (Gen. 1:1; John 1:1-3) We also believe the creation took place in six literal, twenty-four hour days. (Gen. 1:5,8,13,19,23,31; Ex. 20:11)
WHAT THE NEW BIRTH IS REALLY ABOUT
.
The new birth is not about getting a handle on your sins and keeping on top of them.
The new birth is all about that part of you which continues to commit transgressions being spiritually cut away from the eternal person that you are.
Colossians 2:11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,
The new birth is about the introduction a new man to your person and then, by a sovereign decree of God. transferring your identity before HIM to that new person.
2 Corinthians 5:16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
.
.
The New Birth is not about cleaning up the old man; he is incurably unresponsive to God. The new birth is about doing away with the Old Man as an integral part of your eternal identity before God.
Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
.
.
The New Birth Is not about cleaning up the old man, it is about washing him away as your eternal identity before God while simultaneously generating within you a new person made in HIS own image.
Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
.
.
It is this new person who will live forever in the presence of God because he bears the image of God and cannot assimilate any truth but God’s truth.
Ephesians 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
.
At the core of the believer’s soul is this new man who can never commit sin.
1 John 3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
.
A person is not eternally secure because he manages to stay on top of his spiritual game for the remainder of his post conversion life…… The victories he experiences over the lusts of the flesh will be proportional to the degree he walks by means of the spirit….. However it is not those victories which make him secure, rather a person is eternally secure because a new man, which now dwells at the core of the believer’s soul, has become that person’s eternal identity before the Father.
We believe the next dispensation of God will be the one thousand year reign of Christ upon this earth. We therefor do not believe that today we are living during the millennial reign of Christ. That reign occurs during the next dispensation of God. (Revelation 20:4-6)
This reign of Christ will be centered around Mount Zion in Israel. During this reign Jewish saints in earthly bodies will enjoy the blessings of an agrarian economy in Israel with the curse removed from that land of Promise. Resurrected Old Testament saints will also be there.
Also during that reign the border of Israel will be expanded in every direction, extending all the way to the Euphrates river to the east, Into the Mediterranean to the west, Into Syria to the north and south into all of Egypt. (Isaiah 24:23, Ezekiel 36:35, Zechariah 10:11)
During this time of Christ reigning from atop of Mount Zion, church age saints will be dwelling in the presence of the Lord in the heaven city, the New Jerusalem, which will intersect Christ’s earthly kingdom at the top of Mount Zion,
This heaven city will hover far above the earth. (I Thes. 4:17)
Those people of the earth who remain after the time of God’s judgment will be subjugated by the Lord and his saints, who will rule and reign over them with a rod of iron. (Rev. 2:27)
Mount Zion will be the center of world government during the earthly reign of Christ. The people of the earth will access Christ on top of Mount Zion. (Isaiah 2:2-3)
At the conclusion of this one thousand year reign of Christ there will be created a new heavens and a new earth in which all the righteous from all dispensation will dwell. At that time both the participants in the earthly kingdom and the participants in the heavenly city will be fully integrated into one body of saints. (Ephesians 1:10)
